I tried this to remove my red hair color that was fading out for ruffle 4 months. I colored my hair for 2 years with dimIpermanent color. It lefted my level 4-5 hair to about a 7 even on my new growth virgin hair. It is definitely something to be careful with.

how well does this work with blue semi permanent/ green/ teal? and can I add olaplex to the pulp riot blank canvas to prevent a lot of damage?

You def can! Just be careful applying it only to your teal/blue color to prevent it from lifting anywhere you don't actually want the color to be lifted out.

I used it on a Color today. Her shadow root was permanent and it lifted the permanent color also!

Ah I'm sorry! I hope it wasn't too much of an issue for you. I made this video so long ago. I'll update the description to say it lifts permanent color as well.

Melissa, I went to my salon a week ago and the lady that did my hair claimed it wouldn't lift the rest of my hair too! I had a full head of baby highlights with my natural blended through out for a beautiful dimension! I used artic fox blue to color my hair and it had been 4 months and was hardly there but seemed it wouldn't go back to my blonde had this slight hue to it. So she used blank canvas. She started in my roots. With I'm assuming 20.dev . My hair is very fine and soft and I was bleach blonde all over and she wanted me to sit for like 20 min and ten min later my shit was BLEACH BLONDE. the entire head. I was almost about to cry but trusted she could tone it back. She used some toner that turned my hair Grey. Then retoned with warmer color. Then darkened my roots bc they were so much brighter than the rest of my hair. She washed and blew dry between every tone to see what it looked like. I was mortified. I'm still mortified. Still has slightest hues of blue here and there. I'm sorry to talk to much but after seeing your comment I really want to ask you, should I go back and ask her for a refund of some kind. She took 5 hours to do this. I spent so much money to hate my hair. $430! Idk what to do. I hate that I spent so much on this and she seemed to not know what she was doing. This was my first time with her. She was running outside smoking cig the whole time too. Lol idk just would like to ask another hair dresser what they would think about my asking this girl for a refund ...

I think you confused your ratios, it’s supposed to be 1:3 not 1:2

.. yes it does lighten your natural hair if you get it on your natural hair.

Is this safe on bleached hair? I used a Shades 7NW on bleached hair and it was a muddy green... will this pull it out with out damaging the hair?

There is still bleach powder in all color erasers/removers... this is definitely easier than bleaching however it will lift your natural color too... so while it doesn’t remove permanent color it will bleach your natural color just like bleach.

Alex Wells it will but I would use actual color to do that. I haven’t experimented on the roots so I can’t advise you the right way to do it ❤️

Kaitlyn Schepisi it absolutely should. Just watch it on your hair because it lifts it out really fast!

It does slightly so try to keep it on the color you want lifted!

it doesn’t exactly lighten the hair if you get it on your natural color, but it does lift out the natural pigment of you hair a little bit. just a heads up.

I have used surya henna cream on my hair for years and this lady at Sally's said I could use clarol beautiful on my hair and it wouldn't react with the henna. WRONG it did now I have pink undertones in my hair and I have tried head and shoulders and blue shampoo to take it out and nothing works. Do you think this black canvas will work?

This hardly does it justice! I use punky color on my son's lightened hair... In order to switch from a rainbow (literally red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple) I popped some of this on for about 5 minutes and the vibrants were nowhere to be seen! I agree with other comments that this (and literally any hair dye product) can and will damage your hair if used incorrectly.

Do you think it will lift stuck on ion brights 🙃 I am friends with hair stylists yes I know I should have used professional color but I was impulsive and impatient and could not wait the two days to go get professional color and now I am paying the price

@@DaniellaBenita I've been searching youtube for answers! Does Pulp Riot Blank Canvas only lift box dyes to blonde? Or can i use it on my black box dye and remove the black to my natural dark brown?
