A good tip is to use a circular saw, and a 60” demolition bar (2 prong forked is my preferred favorite) it makes things go by WAY faster and not as much wear on your body. I can demo a big house of hardwood floor in a half day using a set up like I just described. Yours and i methods are very similar, just bigger tools make it go by faster and easier. Not bashing the video at all you did a very good presentation, I was just helping someone out who may be doing a whole house tear out who never has, that the tools I listed will speed the process a ton. Keep up the good work man!

How thick is the plywood, are you referring to a quarter inch underlayment
@osmanalberta3 жыл бұрын
@@FloorsbySouthernboys yes sir i am i usually had to remove lino and plywood sometimes its really hard it takes a lot of time and effort i was wondering do you have any tip for it.
@FloorsbySouthernboys3 жыл бұрын
@@osmanalberta I always will take them up together, I just treat it like a single board and cut it in strips about 6 inches wide or so and take it up in strips, much easier like that instead of trying to take up a whole piece

Do floor scrapers work alright for glued floor residue?
@FloorsbySouthernboys2 жыл бұрын
Yes it is a concrete floor a lot of work and you will need sharp blades

Did your saw cut through the staples? Because when mine did, sparks flew!

Yes it did

That looks more like a snap-lock floor than a nail down type. We're looking at 3/4" nail down hardwood. Concerns about trashing the subfloor as well as hitting nails with the saw blade.

You cannot avoid it but it won’t cause any physical harm it will just dull your blade faster than normal but that is how you have to do it.

This way looks very hard on the back and knees... especially that sander bent over like that.

Couldn’t you use a sanding disc on a 4 inch grinder to get the staples up? Seem it would be easier.

No way to remove all the staples. Jajajajajaj. How long will take for you to remove the small section.
