How to remove headlight on VW JETTA A5 MK5 GOLF MK5 . Headlight Removal Replacement

In this video we are going to show you how to remove or replace the front left or front right headlight on a Volkswagen Jetta A5 MK5 2005-2010. It will also be the same for Volkswagen Golf MK5 Headlight Removal 2004-2010
UNFORTUNATELY, you will have to remove the FRONT BUMPER COVER in order to get the the headlight. We covered the whole procedure how to do it. Without removing the bumper cover it will be impossible to remove the headlights because there are 2 screws on each headlight under the bumper cover and the bumper cover will be in the way to pull the headlights out.

Thanks for making this video. I was considering taking my headlights out in order to sand and buff out the damage. I'm going to use blue tape to mask them off instead. LOL

If you take off the trim piece under the headlight you can access that 3rd bolt without having to remove the gender liner

You dont need to remove the bumper, theres a trim on the bumper..just pop it off, head light fixings are inside

You did not need to remove the bumper ... you can just remove the false plate that is below each headlight in order to get access to that last screw that is behind it, which is holding up each headlight.

@Karl von Bahnhof space is very limited. If you want to install the bulbs correctly you need to remove the headlights assembly. For this you have to remove the plastic trim inside the bumper to get access to the bolt or by just loosening the bumper on the sides.

You definitely do not remove the entire bumper to change the headlights. Maybe loose bumper from the sides but not entirely off

Thick Russian accent. Removing clip at the end flat head screwdriver twist until you hear click then pull just like connector to ignition coil
