Love your videos. So informative. After you remove the headliner and brush the old foam off, is it okay to apply your adhesive if the board is still tacky? I’m doing my best to remove all previous headliner material, but the board is still tacky to the touch.

Thanks for leaving us positive feedback, I suggest there's no need to remove the tackiness from the board, in fact it may actually help with new bonding of fabric. Just as long as you focus on removing all old foam, dirt and debris. The tacky board is usually what's leftover, I've seen guys add solvents to the board but it's not needed and in doing so may actually have a chemical reaction that may make the glue not work properly. So summary: 1: tackiness we leave, 2: Make sure ALL old foam is removed 3: Make sure to use correct fabric and correct glue 4: make sure to use enough glue

Any idea if the golf Mk5 and Mk6 have interchangeable headliners?

I believe they are the same and have same dimensions. I do know they require the same process during removal and install.
