I need crafting help! First I'm going to show you how everyone removes HTV from garments and I can tell you I'm not a fan of this method. The bummer part, I thought I found an alternative but quickly found out not only did it work worse than the heat press method but it also almost killed me! What's not shown in the video is about 2 hours after using this stuff, I started to: puke, had a migraine, cold flashes, a fever, extremely dizzy, lips turning blue, I couldn't believe what was happening to me!

Thanks for the video but What matters the most right now is you feeling better. Take good care of yourself and if you don't feel any better get to your doctor's office ASAP.

I am better, thankfully. It was a scary few days afterwards because I got so so so sick BUT I'm thankful I can let others know NOT to buy this stuff!

Don’t know the answer for the excess glue yet, but could have saved the whole shirt for you with the oil stains and you’d still have your pumpkin pie shirt. 😢Since you said you loved the shirt I was trying to stop you from removing the decal. Didn’t you hear me, saying, “No! Wait!” 😂 For oil stains (happens to me all the time), put baby powder or corn starch on the spot and let it set for about a day. This absorbs so much of the oil. Then put Dawn dish liquid on the spot and wash and dry normal. Occasionally, depending on the size and age of the spot, you may need to redo the process, but I have saved so many shirts over the years by doing this. Hope you recovered quickly from the fumes side effects. Take care of yourself.

Okay so here me out LOL The shirt still is in a crumbled ball on my coatroom floor, maybe I'll try your grease hack and if it works I'll recut the DTV and press it on the shirt saving it. Because that green color is such a good fall color.

Whenever using chemicals you should have good air filtration and wear a chem mask or take it outside. I’m so sad you got so ill. So glad you’re feeling better. Thank you for sharing info.

generally I do and never think twice. HOWEVER they advertise "no irritating odor" - "User-Friendly Experience: Enjoy a pleasant experience with our remover-no pungent smell, making the removal process more comfortable and convenient for users. Must have for Crafters and DIYers." - so with that said, obviously I've learned to not trust others BUT want others to know what will happen if you use it. Because even if I were to have done it outside. I washed the shirts, and had them in my craft room drying. I got sick and came back 2 days later feeling better and within a couple minutes I started feeling ill again, and it was because it was still heavily in my shirts. So I threw the shirts away outside and let me craftroom air out again for the weekend and came back and it was finally gone. So even if I would've done it outside it still lingers on your clothing afterwards

Hope you feel better soon. I would use Sticky Stuff remover which can be used on clothes I have used to get sticky residue of sticky labels before and has a pleasant smelly.

Lol, "I can't wear it anymore because of the stains"...that's when I make it a "house shirt", what I wear around the house so when I spill stuff all over it, I don't care. I don't wear nice stuff around the house. "I don't like expensive" says the woman with a giant xTool and a wall of Cricut's behinder her 😆🤣(just giving you a hard time, lol)

@@ashleefalco lol, well yeah me too. But I have clothes I wear in public, the ones without the stains, and the ones with the stains I wear when I'm at home and no one is going to see me, except the hubs, the cats, and the dogs, lol!
