I'm a 32 year old 100% African American woman and I had head lice from a friend pillow I laid on. When I tell you the shame and embarrassment I felt was deep it was DEEP. I was under the myth that African Americans don't get head lice ....I was Soo wrong...took me two weeks home remedies to rid my hair of the hair lice. Just knowing you have little bigs feeding on your scalp SEVERAL times in a day and laying nasty eggs is BEYOND ME!!! I'm so cautious now

It’s a myth that we don’t get lice. I own a professional lice removal service and in 10 years I have treated a handful of black families

My oldest got lice from daycare I never knew we could get it but she does have good hair so maybe that’s why but still never knew and it shook me cause I was like why you keep scratching and mind you I washed her hair but they need special stuff to kill em it’s scary seeing bugs crawling in your scalp .. im still shook

Oh my. It's no fun.. as long as u follow what I did. You will clear it out. Be sure to get that shower cap and watch where she plays and wash everything in hot water she may have laid on. I don't know if u have a baby baby but that flat iron help to and. Base her head like a grease bowl. U may not like it but hey lice can't stick to that

Natasha Mitchell her hair is short but I didn’t have a shower cap I used a plastic bag and oil it up I’m waiting for her to wake up so I can use flat iron she’s 3 she has not been with me she’s been at family member house I had pick her up and was goin get her hair braided person had did half her head and notice smh took braids out. She had use dish washing soap just to get out what she can then I went to store and bought this stuff so thanks for video. Then u recommend to do it once a week?

why people saying first time heard blacks getting lice i mean head lice is attracted to hair or scalp and any person has that. when i was little my mom would spray my hair with hair spray before i went to school or pre-k or whatever headlice stays away from hair spray

Ann Liddell she was at the daycare and they claim no one had it there and that they check the kids hair and no one had it. I told them someone had to have it bcuz my daughter wouldnt had this in her head.. Then the owner was like well i thought black pple didnt get it i said i thought so as well but she have it.. I let her go to daycare just this Monday with a shower cap on her head and she nap on her on sheets is what i told them..

Nope let it stay in .. the oil makes them slide. It won't stick to the hair. Note: if it's dry they stick slippery can't plant them eggs
