When I ordered my 2006 fully loaded MCS automatic fully loaded it was the only thing I did not want because the dealers charge ridiculous money to update them on top of the fact it was in the center. I have been using Garmin since the early 90s and always put them in my line of sight, right on the dash in front of me. They cost about 1500 as an accessory and you can buy 10 garmin for that kind of money

Wiring is different. It is cheaper to buy another mini cooper with navigation system and sell yours. Also nobody uses that navigation since it is outdated technology, your phone navigation is mush better.

I have the same year with the same factory navigation. A few days ago my pasenger seat got stuck i wont go back or foward i took it out an fix it bu then my navigation system staret to have a problem. The probelm is that i turns on but it wont respond when i clic the acept button it only turns on and stays in the main screen witch reads you a warnig and then after a few minutes it will just turn off any thoughts of what can be wrong??? Any help its apresiated thanks

The wiring needs to replaced which is a lot of work and also it is not wise to install an outdated navigation system in your car !

I have a 2006 Mini Cooper S and the Navigation screen will not turn on. I checked the fuses. They are fine. Any thoughts to what may be causing this?
