How to Remove OneDrive in Windows 10

Worked great for me. The batch file actually removed the folder in local too for me....this may be something to do with the fact that I had already removed the 'permissions' crap and turned off UAC while my system was still 8.1 Once I had finished in regedit, I ran cCleaner which fixed a few left over problems. Did the first part and enabled everything but the first choice and now 1Drive can't be seen when I go back to AppData and Local. I do not understand the 2nd part of your presentation- the script. i have windows 10 home and i download gpedit.msc when i open it it says group policy at the top left instead of local group policy editor, and when i open windows components onedrive isnt in there

This is awesome, except if you like using all the other apps with Microsoft such as 365, then it will reload OneDrive with the software package automatically. I guess if you buy the lifetime and then do this it will permanently remove it until you upgrade the software again.

The best thing I found to do is use your own folders from your Folder in your system folder. Microsoft duplicated everything for one drive and put them as what is usually our local folders for "documents, music etc". Just put your local folders on the quick access and minimize the This PC folder for icons on the left. Disable it on boot and closing it keeps it closed.

you need to install it if you don't have it, simply google "install gpedit.msc" this is because you probably have the Home version of windows 10

No. Files on your OneDrive space in the cloud just won't be accessible from that computer.

1:50 after following the steps in your other video about reinstalling OneDrive (%Systemroot%\SysWOW64\OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall from CMD with administrator rights) I am now in the specific folder (C:\Users\{name of user}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneDrive) the OneDrive exe does not exist. However, when I go to the file explorer everything is there EDIT: in the file explorer I can't view the files that are stored in the cloud, I can only view those that are stored in my PC. It keeps bringing on the same error "OneDrive is already installed, please uninstall it first before installing this version. Plus, many files of mine were deleted from my PC! Even from the desktop. 😮... PrintScrn is not working anymore and in the Snipping app I can't save the file that I have captured. What is happening?? Help!

Solution came (quickly) from Microsoft: 1. Press the Windows key + R to open a Run window. 2. Type appwiz.cpl and click OK. 3. Find Microsoft OneDrive in the list and right-click to uninstall it.

My computer couldn't fine gpedit.msc. Another video showed to enter %SystemRoot%\SysWOW64\OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall in the command prompt. That seemed to work.

The problem with these hacks is that as soon as you install the 1511 upgrade package, all the junk apps will get re-installed. So get used to doing this and the other app-removal hacks several times a year whenever MS pushes one of these packages through WU.

When you push F3 you only get 3 folders but when i press it i see a whole bunch of folders which have nothing to do with one drive. I need to press the F3 button 3 times when these folders show up.
