Maybe you think it faux pas or people wont like it but take on some sponsors or sponsored paint jobs. Your content in this space is top notch and you deserve to be compensated. Keep it up Martin ♥!

Agree! Sponsors are nothing new, and its not gonna make people run away or stop watching, matter fact, he will probably end up with more viewers in the end, because the production value goes up with the more money!

Great work, Martin, and I'm glad you are back. Just from my experience and you forgot to mention. Your clear coat can be dry but the highest point of the run might not be fully dry and when you try to sand it, it will end up in a complete new spray job. It can ruin your completed job. I went through it, and I know the feeling. Time was waisted and money was waisted.

I painted and detailed cars for over 10 years and never heard this trick, I went to ask my dad (he did it for well over 40 yrs) he also never heard of this one. After talking, the only thing we'd be worried about really is the body filler leeching the clear and making like a dry spot on the fresh clear, but in general I love the idea and if I was still doing it, I definitely would give this a real chance.

Great video. I hope you don't mind if I add some things I've learned over 40 odd years of doing high end detailing and colorsanding. So, typically, I put just a little dish soap in my wetsanding water and I soak the paper overnight at least. Obviously you don't need to do that if you're just touching up a small area but it makes the paper work better. Second, I wear a headlamp with an led light and try to have as little indirect light as possible. The reflection of that light will show every flaw in the surface, not the texture, but the scratches and swirls will really show. That way you know when your done and don't have to go extra and take off more paint. Finally, if you're working in an area where you can't get a machine, use a cotton ball to rub in your compound. A cotton ball is non-woven so it can't rub any pattern into the paint and cotton holds the grit of the compound better so it doesn't slurry around on the surface which makes it cut faster and cleaner. Again, thanks for the video. I like that you didn't hold anything back, that you explained what you were doing and why.

That metallic purple in the video picture is a color that I want one of my bikes to be! I've been wanting a purple bike for years. After watching the video, I would finish it with a glazing compound/polish after using the cutting compound.

A littke ad here and there won't kill us. 😊 Also, maybe some brands would be happy to give you some spray guns or other equipment if you use them in your videos?

HI. I just found your chanel and subscribed. I will back some time ago on yor DIY videos. As profesional, you should warn people about dangers of 2K paints and clearcoats. I am noob, found your videos and bought everything to do custom diy job on some old frame but suddenly i discovered "isocyanates", most crucial component in 2K. This thing is not for amateurs and its not a child play. isocyanates are very dangerous chemical so i am not sure is it smart idea for me to do DIY with these chemicals. Keep the good work, great videos full of infos. Thx
