Thank you for the great video! For those that don't feel comfortable going beyond the removal of the retail mode app (good enough for many applications) and want to charge above 50%. I have found that if you power down the phone then connect the charger (no boot up) it will charge up to 100% if uninterrupted. If the charging is interrupted the phone will boot up and will not charge any further until it drops below 50%, you must let the phone drop below 50% to recharge to 100%. I've only tested this on a single LG G6 demo unit.

I believe the Samsung Galaxy LDUs were intended to be returned to the Samsung distributor/branch in the respective country, and I'm assuming it's the same for LG, but it seems that in both cases, some units would end up getting stolen from stores for one reason or another.

I was about to do almost the same mistake , but I stoped at DOWNLOAD Mode because flashing is always dangerous. So as I noticed after watching the vid to the end , that the phone must have a factory reset before flashing I unpluged it from the USB cable. But now you stay in DOWNLOAD Mode and do not get out , because you cannot take the battery out or Power off by pressing the button. What to do ? By pressing the VOLUME DOWN button a several times a new Menue appears , here you can switch between some options and one of them is Power off. To Power off simply select it and first press and hold Volume down and then press and hold Power off. The phone starts then again by normal pressing Power on ,...😂

Maurice Godsmith Haven’t found a KDZ firmware yet that I can try out. Managed to remove device admin and retail mode and get into lock screen and security section, confirming these demos do not have a built in fingerprint scanner like the consumer version devices

yeah you can not factory reset the device unless you can get usb debugging turned on.

i found the way.attach the power cable to the phone and start charging it and then power off the phone and keep it charging in poweroff mode.It will charge to 100% then.

I would say NO , because you flashed only a part of the ROM (a partition) , if you update , the whole ROM will be downloaded and installed , but this might not fit on this shrinked hardware ,...right ?

That was probably a different type of demo unit with a working GSM/WCDMA/LTE modem, pretty much a normal phone with Retail Mode software on it
