Nice job! Very realistic because we know not everything goes smooth the first time so you worked through it and came up with the solution.

good job!! I came here for help and got the info i was looking for. I don't use dilectric grease on metal connectors, it is the insulator to spark plug boots, so spark energy doesn't waste on the porcesling if it is dirty. for electrical connection to be improved,this would do the opposite, yes it will keep corrosion from happening. There are two products for connection improvement, either Ox-gard, or Truk-lite. Ox-gard common at Home depot. It has conductive grit in the grease to improve electrical connection. Thanks again for your help getting my trailer lites out.

Just a thought, as long as the rubber gasket is still somewhat soft and playable, if you can reach under and around to the backside of the light you can just push the old light out from the back.

A lot of trailers are a sealed cavity and you cant get to the back of the light.

pro tip, clean out the rubber grommet with hot soapy water and the light will go in way better. especially in the extreme cold

Yup I spray mine with windex won't freeze as quick in the cold and then evaporates.

Thank you! It kinda made me happy that you had a bit of trouble there at the beginning to pulling it out. Made me feel better about my self and my struggle

It is so much easier pushing the light in push from an end. Once pushed thru you can remove the rubber gasket and bring the light back thru the now large hole.

Check the new bulb works first. Make sure it’s not another problem. But good video.

Very nice but how do you change the light bulb inside?
@danielwilson75722 жыл бұрын
These are LED based units. Similar units that use replaceable bulbs should have some screws to access once you get the unit out.

This is the WRONG way to remove these lights. Push the light, then lift up the edge of the rubber gasket and the entire thing pushes thru.
@danielwilson75722 жыл бұрын
We will have to try that next time. Thanks for the tip.

I’ve ran into a couple of cases where there is a solid plate right behind the lights. In those cases the way he demonstrated is the only way.

It sure isn’t that easy for me. The light is destroyed and I still haven’t got it out. The previous time I removed it, the grommet was destroyed. Sure would like to be able to get them out that easily.

You would be shocked what a little WD 40 will do for you! Jesus IS LORD! Well done!
