Ain't THAT the truth! Right tools for the job make things so much easier, says me who's in the midst of changing my fridge water inlet valve only to find one stripped screw and a line that just won't come off. (God, I hate when that happens!🤦) But I liked your video! ❤

Thansk for the advice! I’m at harbor freight now. I was doing my coworkers brakes and he even paid but I wasn’t able to complete past changing the pads because of these stupid screws I hope this works 👍

Just take your time and let the extractor do the work

Thanks for the video, Andy. I ordered and received the extractor kit from Harbor Freight. I couldn't tell from the video which tool you used first to bite into the screw with the bit, before you switched to the ratchet wrench. If you could advise which tool you used first that would be great. Thanks again.

I used the extractor bit on a screwdriver handle. This will allow you to get it to grip well before using the ratchet

Okay but what do I do if I used the extractor with a power tool and now it’s just a big crater in the middle? Nothing can grip it

Try a larger bit, if that won’t work you’ll have to drill it out with a metal bit.

Why isn’t the rotor turning? I bought this same exact extracting bit set for the same job. However not only was the screw chewed up but it was stuck. Extractor bit promptly broke. These work great as long as the screw your attempting to remove isn’t stuck… so now the tip of extractor is broken inside the screw..help

My screw was stripped, not stuck. The rotor wasn’t turning because it’s positioned at the side of the rotor, not the center. If it does start to love you can lock it by wedging a bar through the studs, and against the ground.

Yes, a drill will spin too fast and strip it worse.
