How to remove the battery compartment cover of the Black+Decker 20V vacuum model no. BDH2000PL 20V

I have this vacuum and the adapter stops working, can I use a 24V 1a adapter as a replacement for it because the original adapter is 23V 400mAh and I can’t find one with the exact requirements.

My two units run for a few seconds and then shuts down and then shortly you can run it again for a few seconds.. I have tried to discharge it all the way but it takes forever. Do you think a battery pack replacement is required?
