Yep I got my ve same thing I hope I can putt front apart to try fix it but may have to get a nother head unit just for the face

Reprogramed out of the car through a guy in NSW. I don't have a video unfortunately...... but i pulled everything out bit by bit and put everything in.

What's involved when making the conversion from the omega unit to the upgrade you have?

The main this is getting the head unit reprogrammed with your car's VIN. There are only a few people in Australia (at the time I did it) that could do it. I got it done by a guy in NSW (was there for work). Then it was pulling the old one out and replacing it. It was pretty straight forward, but the repogramming is the key. The guy's name was Jason who did mine.

My screen is scratched on my VE Calais series 1, do I need to replace the whole head unit or can I just replace the face like you ripped off?

You should just be able to buy a new face and put it on.

Hey just wondering if you would know or if anyone else does if u can pull out the stereo part of the unit amd just leave in the climate control part will the climate control still work ? As i have plans om makimg mime able to hold a aftermarket unit but want the factory climate control

ive got a 2010 series 1 sv6 with just the basic head unit, if i bought the unit like this one with the screen or a similar stock unit is it just remove the old and the new one will fit straight it ? i hate the look of mine with just the buttons and a little red screen lol

Definitely can. Mine is a 07 Omega and I installed an SS S1 Headunit in it.
