In VE Commodore can I use customise settings To add fob remote to the vehicle?? The XTool does not have that option but I could program the immobiliser chips for starting the vehicle

In night panel mode does the temp n fuel n other gauges light up when tbey are over hot or low oil pressure or low on fuel like in saabs????

On police cars above the rear vision mirror is a button which turns all interior lights off except headlights and speedo, In the Holden police manual that is referred to as stealth mode. There is also another button that lets you remove the key and leave the motor running. As soon as there is any electronic movement the motor dies. This is so they can have the motor running to keep their batteries charged, when they have their Red& Blues flashing.but no one can steal the running car.

I'm a bit late to this but I've just had an issue where my centre console display has completely switched off. I don't know if there's a button sequence that I (my kids) pressed that caused the display to turn off, or if maybe it's just a blown fuse? My entire dashboard lights don't turn on. The only lights / LEDs that come on are my speedometer and tachometer when I turn on my headlights. Yes, my radio works and still turns off when opening my driver's door. Would appreciate any assistance here.

perhaps its in shadow mode? try pressing the buttons above the headlights dial. (2 months late... I hope you already have it working)

If you have two keys the unlock and lights on etc. are stored separately.... So driver preference is stored to each key.

Do you mean to access the settings menu he's showing? You press the Trip button on left of steering wheel, keep pressing it until the Customise Options screen shows. Then press the scroll button (left of Trip button) to enter the menu. Scroll up/down to navigate through menu. The full instructions are in the vehicle manual also on page 1A-32

This is demonstrated on a 2013 VE Commodore SV6. The screen and functions should be somewhat similar across all VE Models.

There's also a "Service Mode" on the centre console screen with other options that people might not be aware of. Steps below: 1. Turn ignition key to Accessories 2. Make sure radio is turned off (press power button) so just the date and time are displayed on centre console screen. 3. Press and hold the two right-arrow buttons on the radio panel plus the Power button. All three must be pressed at same time. 4. Continue holding for about 10 seconds until it says Service Menu 5. Use the volume wheel to navigate through menu. Press it to select an option.

Why select auto lock at speed ? An accident ,submerged in water etc and you are locked in if your electrics are dissabled. Stuff that. I can't see the point.

@@bigt9353 sorry but I lost my owner's manual. Which is the "trip button"? (actually "I" didn't lose it but when shifting house the xyz#& movers put a whole row of books who knows where. Never trust them with even remotely valuable items). I can't even find an owner's manual . pdf
