If your reel has a little bit of play in the handle knob, you can fix it by changing the ball bearings or adding shims... but if the handle knob doesn't have a screw, the only way to make the aforementioned modifications is to drill out the shaft and add an aftermarket kit.

To provide guidance (centering) to a drill, punch a workpiece. Without the grit, it is extremely common for the drill to wander, meaning it wanders around aimlessly on the material without hitting the exact point of the hole, as is the case with you in your video.

haha yeah, tell me about it. i tried doing it, but the shaft was harder than the small puncher i had. even drilling through it was harder than i expected. but as u can see in the video, energy and persistence conquer all things. 😉
