THANK YOU for sharing this!! Removing the fabrics from this stroller was A LOT of work. IMO it's overly complicated and bordering on poor design. Your video helped a ton!! Much thanks.

@@NMahlandt22 I took a butter knife and pried it open enough so I was able to twist it off. Mine were a little rusty but it only took a couple minutes to do it. I disassembled them from the stroller but left them on the seat for easier reattaching after its washed.

Thank you so much! That was an amazing detailed video! I would always get a lysol wipe and wipe it all down but I really wanted to deep clean it and I want to thank you for your video!

You are amazing. Thank you so much for explaining. I received this as a hand me down. If I knew how hard it would be to wash the textiles I would have NEVER used it. ALL PARENTS BEWARE, if you ever want to clean this...have a good chunk of time putting it on and even more putting it back on.

Its a great stroller and really not that difficult.. about 15 screws. It folds up incredibly well.

Agreed. Just going to go with a bucket of warm water/laundry liquid and give it a good old scrub and hose down lol

Thank you! Think I had it basically apart before I found this, but confirmation that the textile doesn't come off the plastic frame was helpful.

Thank you so much for the video! I spilled coffee ALL over my stroller and it needed a good wash. Plus I bought it used and wanted to wash it. I'm not sure what year model mine is since it was used, but I found when I was taking it apart, the only screws were for the umbrella. Everything else had snaps and was easy to disassemble. I too was prepared to unscrew everything but didnt need to! Hope this helps some people. Just try it - its easier if it goes straight in the washer 🙃

I think I have a different version, as my shopping basket looks a bit different...in any case, the base of my shopping basket was pressboard and NOT PLASTIC, so it turned to sawdust in the washer. I washed it before seeing this video, it was my own fault for not checking. I picked the seams and dumped out the sawdust, I'll sew them closed again and it'll be better than nothing for the next owner. 🤷🏾 But just FYI.

Mine is the same, Ive washed it before in the washer but it didnt do well this time. Im going to replace with Plexi. His says 2008, and mine is the 2014 version. You probably had the same!

Thanks for the video. It confirms what I thought about how to take the stroller apart. It's odd that so much of the stroller is straps, snaps, and clips, but it still has parts screwed together. What a silly design.

I just use a brush and use water, dish soap that is safe for children and baking soda to wash and scrub everything off then hose it down and let it dry and I’m good to go 🤷🏻‍♀️

I did something similar the first time but after sitting in my basement for 3 years, it was nice to take it apart and give it a good clean in the washer

My B-Agile seems to be riveted in a channel locking it to the frame.. any ideas?

If you're sure that the textiles are riveted to the frame, then you would need to drill out the rivets unfortunately. It's possible that the process for removing them has changed a bit since this video. :)

Does britax smile 2 and Affinity has the same dumb design of fabric removal? Not being able or difficult and time consuming fabric removal is dealbraker for me and I don't want to do it to myself for the second time(I had brio go for 3 years) but I love other things about britax strollers.
@BarnevognverkstedNo

They are a little easier, but definitely check them out in the store before purchasing. I'm not a big fan of Britax in general. If you're interested in help choosing a stroller, feel free to write down some of your criteria, and I'd be happy to suggest a few other (better) brands / models. :)

@@BarnevognverkstedNo Oh I would be so happy for the help! I need a stroller that: - Can fold nicely in one peace(with normal seat) and is light enough for me to pick it up and put into my car. I guess that would be below 10kg. - All terrain wheels(good if it would perform well on hard terrian and snow) but not regular air tires(bad experience. I don't want to pump anything.) with the front ones that can lock on the position so I can go on the snow and not get too frustrated. - Big basket. I have more small kids that also needs their stuff to be put somewhere so it is a must have. - I have to be able to push the stroller and manuveur with it with one hand and it has to go nicely over bigger curbs etc. - Big canopy preferably with extra ventilation avilable(baby born in the middle of summer). - Fabric that is fairly easy to take off, wash and assemble correctly. - I have to be able to put a newborn in it. Maxi Cosi car sit adapters avilable would be nice. - Being able to hang a diaper bag on the handle. - Preferably 4 wheels. I looked into Baby Jogger Premier and City Select LUX and also phil& teds promenade /voyager. Emmaljunga viking was on my list too but seems way too heavy for me and too big after fold. I have 2 months to buy a new stroller.

I can't think of any stroller that perfectly lives up to all of these criteria, but the closest would probably be the Bugaboo Fox.
@LittleBabywriter
@LittleBabywriter 5 жыл бұрын
@@BarnevognverkstedNo What about baby jogger city select LUX or baby jogger city Premier? They seem very easily foldable, roomy, fabric nice to wash and generally what I would want in a stroller but maybe some things are wrong or worse than other strollers and I have no idea?
@BarnevognverkstedNo
@BarnevognverkstedNo 5 жыл бұрын
I love BabyJogger for their 3 wheel models, but not so much for their 4-wheelers. Select is probably too heavy, Premier is sub-optimal on terrain, and both are pretty tricky re. textile removal. Not that either is a bad stroller, but you would notice a difference vs the Fox. I would however take a City Elite over a Fox any day, though this falls short on a few of your other criteria ;)
