For everyone not finding the untrusted shortcuts option, enable the option “allow scripts” and you should be fine. I added it to my shortcut list, disabled “auto-detect” on the airpods (So you don’t have to cover up the sensor with the finger) and ran the shortcut. Mine had a muffled sound and they work fine now. Make sure to dry them well too. Good luck!

I had a problem where my AirPods PRO started doing weird noises , crackling and sound like a broken bass. No matter what I did I couldn’t fix them but after watching this video I actually threw them in water with soap, wiped them dry then used this method to eject water. They work like new ones now! Apple should just have this as a feature for emergencies when you need to know it immediately. Luckily I placed my AirPods Pro on an air blower for an hour and then into some rice all day so they’ll probably be fine but when I get home I’ll also do this as well just to be sure.

I would never run an untrusted shortcut. Just download some heavy metal music play at full volume with your fingers over the sensors hold the speaker downward. That will achieve the same effect without compromising your security

There should be a good seal on the AirPods,hold it in a pinching 🤏 way so the sensors are covered properly, then you can feel the AirPods vibrate otherwise it’s clearing from the phone and not the AirPod. I just tried it so legit. Now I need to test it’s sound hopefully it survives.

I accidentally washed one of my Airpod Pros in the washing machine, made the mistake of charging it, and attempting to use it before it dried completely. This is legit, guys. I was pouring sweat into them in 100 degree heat and they started sounding like I was tuning an old hearing aid. Did this like 3 or 4 times and they work now. For those saying it’s still not working, you may just have more water built up in them. I just had a little water from sweat and stopped using them right away. You may need to let them dry out more.
