What I appreciate about this video is that it gives me a good idea about how much time it takes to do a professional job on the windshield and not leave glue, about 14 minutes. Other videos said there is some glue left behind that one has to clean up with window cleaner or adhesive remover, but Daval Wright video said "no glue". I'd be interested to know where to get that kind of steam gun.

What do you use to strart thr peeling like the corners are flush with the trim and your finger cant get in there to get it started so what did you use?
@davalwright3 ай бұрын
some cases if your using a steamer and heat the film enough you should be able to peel it back with your finger You can always use a blade to peel the tint back just be mindful to not cut in to the glass or over any defrost lines.

So I need to remove the tint off the windshield of my car, in TN it’s illegal to have a fully tinted windshield which I wasn’t aware of until last Wednesday. Using the steamer won’t bust the glass will it. I have a tiny crack from a rock that hit it a while back but I had it professionally filled so it wouldn’t spread…Help!

As long as you don’t leave the steamer sitting directly on the glass you should be fine, as long as the crack is properly sealed you should be fine, just steam the film and peel back as the steamer will loosen the adhesive , How easy it will be is determined on the quality of film you have.

Serious question here...... I need to do this on my truck, film is in fantastic condition, probably onky about 3 years old, BUT it's been getting the beat down from the Florida sun. It's not really dark enough for me, plus I had one of those "umbrella" type sun shades that worked good for a bit, but one day parts of it literally melted to the windshield, leaving streaks that look like a child took a sharpie and scribbled inside the windshield. My question is this; Will it be of any help to apply heat from the outside as well? Like from a heat gun(on low) or a hair dryer?
@davalwright8 ай бұрын
Honestly the easiest and best route I find would be a steamer any steamer and go from the inside heat the film it’s softens the adhesive allowing you to peel the tint just work it slowly also the quality of tint makes all the difference Now you can use a heat gun or blow dryer just understand too much heat or heating glass too fast leaves you with a higher risk of busting the glass if you not careful even then If I was to use I would heat only the tint itself from the inside more so then the outside trying to make sure the glass don’t get too hot and slowly peel only the section I’m heating
