How to Remove Your Bosch Oven Door

I just watched this as my oven door hinge came out on the L side suddenly. I had no idea how the mechanisms worked. Watching this video I was able to remove then put back the door and now as is well again. THANK YOU!!!

Perfect!! We couldn't get the door to come out. Thanx to your video we saw there was a sweet spot and the operation went perfectly. No hinges snapped closed and no fingers were lost!

I removed all 4 screws and completely gutted the door cleaning every square inch. Took me over 2 hours. I reinstalled the felt with crazy glue in the corners and cleaned the 2 removal glass panels with 0000 steel wool, simple green, vinegar, and a razor blade. The film on both sides of them was bad. My only complaint with the door is that the screws don't have much bite and it would be easy to stripe them out if you you repeated the cleaning procedure too many times. The engineering department needs to go back to school. Anyway thanks for the instructions on how to remove the door - I had no clue

This is very helpful. My top oven door has come away on the left side and looks like the hinge might be locked, no locking part showing. What can I do now please?

Thank you so much Sina Rohani, my hinges snapped shut whilst the door was off and I thought I was going to have to buy a new oven! I slid a screwdriver through the hole and eased the hinges back, I also had to move the locking lever but I did that with pliers because the hinges are wicked and could take your finger off.

I removed the door easily but locking levers shut so I couldn’t replace it. Any ideas without chopping off finger!,,

I've just had one of these hinges snap back on my thumb. it went through the pad of the thumb so hard it broke the nail on the other side. I can thoroughly recommend NOT doing that. It hurts.

My brother came round and carefully, VERY carefully used a long strong screwdriver and another one to put through the hole in the arm and then slowly prised the arm back, it gave a loudish click and it slotted back into place. Do not know how to explain it better and hope it helps. Lesson - don't clean the ruddy oven ;) LOL

Dead easy. Just a strong screwdriver and gently pull the hinge out. Not much strength required at all. DO NOT attempt to fiddle with the two side locking hinges, it looks like they are stuck fast when the main hinges are open, but the action of replacing the door makes them loose and they can just be flipped up into place. Fiddling with them and trying to ease them out because they seem stuck is exactly what makes the main hinges snap shut. I have to go now to visit my wife who is in A&E with a crushed hand. Sigh... women! (Joking!!!)

I can’t believe the trouble I’m having getting this door back on. I have an older gas Bosch range took the door off because someone put glass pans in the warming drawer wrong. Now we can’t get the little slice on the hinge door to go back in place. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi can any body help i took the front class off my combi oven so i could clean the glass, put it all back , now it shuts off after 20 seconds when its on microwave .when i put it all back the lugs either side of the door stopped the door from shutting so i slightly bent them down so the go in to the slot to make sure the door seals properly. Also i seteam cleaned the oven would that do anything i did make sure power was totally off when carrying out work.not sure if i need an engineer the appliance is 8 months old , was running fine until i cleaned it

My hinges locked when out. I used a chopstick through the hole and carefully pulled it back

I didn't get a manual for the oven and it doesn't have those type of hinges so it's impossible to clean. Never had such a rotten oven, impossible to clean adequately.

I think how Bosch oven is so disappointing. we are elderlee and can't take the oven door off.. It looks so disgusting.We had another Brand for over 30 years and never had to clean like this.

He says "after a long period of time". Why do I need to clean this every couple months?! My old cheap kenmore oven never got dirty on the inside of the glass. It's a big process to do all the time. I see I am not the only one that thinks this is odd.

our hinges snap shut and won't stand out straight so we can put them back in :/
