It probably wont affect anything, all he is doing is removing the db killer which makes the bike sound louder

An easy way to buy pass the DB killer ( Perforated Can ) without taking the exhaust apart ; To start-Drill or punch a 3/8" hole in the small outlet pipe on the first curve on the pipe leading to the perforated can. Exhaust noise can escape directly from the incoming exhaust pipe directly to the exit pipe thru the hole you just made. Check sound level. If you want more sound make the hole bigger a little at a time until you get the sound you want. I have done this like many other's with Harleys and got a nice sound without hurting performance. Use a sharp pointed rod for a punch. Make one hole at a time. Sharpen a stout flat screw driver and make one slot at a time. WAIT UNTIL YOUR WARANTEE IS UP BEFORE ANY EXHAUST MODIFICATION UNLESS APPROVED BY THRIUMPH. Have fun.

Yes, It need to be change after 3 year or 4 year and we need to cut it again to change it. The time need to change that depend on a lot of things: Ride too much or not, usually or often,....
