yeah dont use the bottom speed nuts...take your side covers off where you can get to the back side and use regular bolts, washers and nuts on there ...slide the bolt in from the battery side and out the washer and nut on behind the deflector...its tight but you can do it

Another great video! What disk/ brush do you recommend to use to get the glue off? You used a yellow one in the video. Do the different colors represent different grit or stiffness? Thanks for all the years of great content!

I toggled back and forth between badges on your vid. That looks way better than the original badges. Thought about doing my 2022 ultra limited- apex paint bike. Looks like I'll pull the badges off in the morning and see if I need to get badges or not. I do have badges the same size as the ones you put on and they are the color of my stripes. I was going to put them on the passenger floorboards, my girl's suggestion, but once I taped them in place both of us didn't like it.

yeah ive got these badges now on 3 baggers...they are sharp....mock them up on the tank and see how you like it before you stick them.

Alternate method. Just pre heat the badge a little with a heat gun or hair dryer, then use dental floss under the badge in a sawing motion. Clean the residue off with isopropyl alcohol. Polish. Done.

Hi Steve, I got my badge from JH Choppers yesterday as well and they do not fit flush on the tank. I sent an email and they referenced your video for placement. I learned about JH Choppers FROM your video, but I rewatched your placement very closely and they do not fit flush. Unfortunately I need to return them and will try RickRaks. Just wanted to pass the feedback along because I love your videos, thanks all your for the content!

Same for me… I purchased a set from them for my 21 Roadglide and they were perfect. I returned the first set and the 2nd set didn’t fit either. Disappointed but will give them 1 more chance.

Im just curious as to if I placed them right they look great but don't lay on the tank to flat...there are still parts of the badge that aren't even touching the tank...ever encountered this or do I need to re do them?

Sorry for the late reply...been at Tail Of The Dragon for a week. I didnt have any bits hanging off the tank...the tape itself will fill in most of the tiny gaps...I would reposition them.

I have never heated it up - just fishing line only. Just keep it in a "sawing" motion and fishing line works just fine. No heat needed.

never had luck with it...just pry it off and clean it up has always worked best for me...but then again I may have had some cheap thin line as well..maybe some stronger line would work better.

I pulled the trigger today and ordered the Chrome badge for my '23 Ultra Limited and run me about $107 after tax. My plan of attack is to mark the top of the old badge before I remove it and ise that mark (maybe a sharpie) as a guide to place the new badge. Then use my 10" buffer to take any goober adhesive off.

Nothing yet...I dont have a ton of miles on it yet though either. Been reading the same comments...make sure to keep your bike updated at HD if you can...HD is releasing updates all the time for the 2024s
