Thanks mate these videos are exactly what I was looking for. Liked and subbed as I see you answer your subscribers I'm trying to revive the old painted render on my house , after a good prep and crack fill is this what I could use ? How good can you blend it to existing beading or it that done ? Any help would be appreciated

hi mate thanks for liking and subbing, yes I try to answer as many people as I can and help the best I can. depending how bad the cracks are and what the existing render is like would determine the stuff you could use to fill it, without seeing any pictures and to save yourself some money, you could hack out where the cracks are to create a 3 to 4 inch channel, then you could apply a coat of SBR and make a mix of plastering sand and cement with a added plastersizer this will help you to apply it, drop a bit of SBR in the mix to give it more strength, I always mix sand and cement as 4 - 1 and gauge the plastersizer to the amount you mix up. if the existing render is really weak it would be best to remove it all and have it redone, but try this first I hope it helps

Sorry late reply. Ive tryed it mate its hard to it but it can be done if you do try it just slow the air pressure down so you can apply a thicker coat you do get more waste tho, but it does take the strain off your arm and floating finish is a better look

Hi sorry late reply, you can but it depends how knackered it is, if you soak the wall completly apply sbr with a brush and spread evenly (dont forget to cover everything up ) get a basecoat called hp 12 in krend brand and embed your mesh within the coating make 2 passes over 2 days if nessasary, then you can apply the krend monocouche (scratch render)

Hi good Info. I've just bought a gentilin compressor think it's capable of spraying thincoat silicone. Also refina hopper spray gun. Do u prefer mono or thincoat. And reasons why. Negative and positive over each render.??
@renovationgroup1983
@renovationgroup1983 3 жыл бұрын
It should spray silicone thin coat on, ive not used a refina hopper before but its worth a try using one, I first started using monocouche and enjoyed using it and still do, i use silicone a lot more now its more durable, self cleaning and easyar to apply by hand or machine, the only down side is the background needs to be dry but now they have a silicone thin coat that can be applied even if its raining but this is something i need to try out my self, Mono is good stuff i like the finish but its backbreaking to apply by hand and the waiting times for it to dry can be a pain, it also gets mucky easyly and needs more maintance to keep it looking clean, applying by machine is quicker but even still it does weather quickly the choice of colours are limited aswell where as silicone can be colour matched, i hope this helps and thanks for watching
