From personal experience anything in india, which requires is physical appearance, specially government work is a money making business by government employees.

@@SoftwareTraveller I just highlighted the fact that when you go for PS verification, there is a high chance that they will try to encash it from people, purely from personal experience. which is outside the remit of the process, however there is a very good chance of this happening. Somehow only this specific comment got deleted and only admins can delete the comments. anyway its upto you, i was just adding personal experience.

@@stockmarket-ix6hg old passport means just travel and stamping is not valid ..but the visa is valid until the expiry ..just carry all passport while travel

Any valid visas on your old passport is still valid. You can still use them by carrying your old passport along with your new one.
