Thank you for sharing. This video helped a lot. New update as at today 07 January 24 1. The application form is just one page showing your passport photograph and you don’t need to sign anywhere. It should contain reference number, Application ID, and other relevant information as well as payment paid. 2. There is no acknowledgement slip again. Hence you need this documents - Application form -Appointment form -Payment receipt -Biodata page copy of old passport -Old passport (physical copy) -Get usps envelope -Get your money order Update: Tha Atlanta office was super swift. Got there 9:35 am left 10:25 am. Less than an hour 💃🏻💃🏻

No one is picking calls or replying emails at the Atlanta office. I missed my biometrics appointment please what do I do?

Most of our problems are man-made for selfish reasons. I don't understand why one (In USA) can't do biometrics with affidavits (showing proper identification) from any authorized agency in their home state and upload same to the Nigerian embassy portal. Instead, you have to take time from work to travel out of state, pay for hotel and deal with their shenanigans just to renew your passport. One should be able to do this completely online. Then the embassy staffs will travel across different states charging Nigerians extra fees (which goes in their pockets) to renew their passports. If the Nigerian government can't fund embassy operations, they should just shut down. Nonsense!

You are right my dear. They make you travel all the way without a guarantee because sometimes they will still fail you. They need to overhaul their system of operation and make it easier for Nigerians to renew their passport. It is heartbreaking 💔

I missed my biometrics appointment because my application for the passport wasn’t vetted until after 2 months. The Atlanta website is not allowing rescheduling nor is anyone picking calls or replying my emails. Please what do I do to be able to do my biometrics?

Can you explain “signed” application form? I have my completed application form, and it’s dated at the top, but I did not sign it. The application never had me enter a signature or mention signing it.

On the last page of the 3 pages, it has a date and a signature/thumb impression at the very bottom. You put the date and sign it.

To print out your receipt/acknowledgement slip, go to this website, portal.immigration.gov.ng/visa/OnlineQueryStatus. You will need the application ID and Reference number. I hope that helps

I applied online today..after paying online, the page disappeared. I got a confirmation email with the receipts but I can’t find a copy of the form I filled anywhere. I do I take my completed form to the consulate if I can’t find the form on my account

After your payment, there is payment slip and acknowledgement slip which looks exactly the same. The only difference is the name, the information looks exactly the same but you still need both of them regardless.
