Even though some contraversy regarfing the IC was not attached,its good video .i left inbetween the video and opened my solder and take photos,just because if this video.mine was witking ,but LED was not blow .so ,after seeing this video and opened the solder.led not glow with Multimeter testing .but after i fit it ,i noticed its brightness is not as much but it glows .i dont want to tease the solder because it wirking ok

If you put BT136 TRIAC in the above soldering iron, the circuit will not go inside the handle because BT136 is bigger in size as compared to BT134. At video time stamp 5:05 see he removed the BT136 which is kept near the flux as seen in the video. He simply inserted the circuit.

Good observation,i had doubt too ,you are right when he was inserting the pcb ,it can be seen that there was not ic attached, but anyway he taught what he want to

In my 60W soldering iron which looks much the same, this component is a MAC97A6 triac. Also this soldering iron tip tends to overheat and get very hot even on minimum temperature setting. Change the SMD 10k resistor to a higher value... something like a 36kΩ ¼ watt resistor.
