How did you attach the tile to the roof ?

Hi Timothy, Thanks for asking. I just used the weight of the tiles to hold it down. I was looking for a quick fix. It will stay there unless you have a steep slope. Builders put nice looking tile roofs on homes, but the underlayment and what is underneath is poor quality...it rips, tears, disintegrates...and then leaks.

@@DavidOldenburg1 Hi David, Our HOA requires us to have a tile roof. That roof has since been replaced. But you are right the underlayment is poor quality. If I had my choice the roof would be either metal or asphalt shingles. That roof was only 17 years old. Thanks for watching!

Hi Lucky, Well, I have had other leaks that wear on the inside. And I patched those too. It got to be too many patches so, we eventually had to put a new roof on. Will you please send me some manly socks.

It seems strange to me that the American style of roofing . They seem more intent to fit layers and layers of paper or ice shield. When if the tiles are at the right pitch with the right overlap it shouldn't get to the paper . The tiles are there to keep water out . And fitting tiles directly onto roofing paper should and is a no no .
