One good tip when mending, is to match the hoses curvature so there are no "memory" issues that'll fight you when wrapping the hose up by hand or on a reel.

Nice job, all works great and saves money on having to replace your house. I always use PEX tube cutters for an even cut and only use hose clamps as a last resort as it can cause the hose to get hung up on objects. 👍🏼

My 'darling puppy' was bored and decided my new hose was a chew toy. This will save me a lot of money. Thanks!

The water hoses, spigots & two way adapters I use out at my boss's ranch are CONSTANTLY leaking no matter what I do because of the hard water. I get so tired of trying to fix all this stuff myself. I was hired as a personal assistant, not a handyman, yet here I am getting devoured by no-see-ums & mosquitoes trying to figure this stuff out in the worst humidity I've felt in a long time!

Time to remind your boss of what you were actually hired for and your concerns 🤔

Thank you for this great video! Which of these options is best for mending a leaking a garden hose that is left out on a hose reel during winters that get down to around -20C (-4F)? The leak is about half way down the hose so I'd prefer not to cut the end.

Great video. I have a 3/8" garden hose and need the "compressor mender" ~ I don't find much on-line using that term. Is there something else I should use to find the part I need? Thanks!

I used a samurai sword to cut my hose, so you should add that to tools one could use to cut their hose.

Any idea where to get a clinch hose mender? I have a 3/4" heavy duty black commercial hose I need to replace the male end on. The typical type that screws together won't go around this monster hose.

Same Issue here except I need a female The only thing that worked was the hose clamp but that is not ideal

@@punkuk1979 Update: I bought something of Amazon that worked perfect. It is called Melnor Metal Cinch Male Hose Repair Futs 3/4" Hoses. They also have available in Female, a set of male and female, and a union to mend a hose. Great product, check it out.

What if its the end that plugs into the house that is leaking?
@jeffmeyers38373 ай бұрын
The clench style repair digs into the hose and causes it to leak where it cut into the hose. Kind of stupid.
@trep533 ай бұрын
Your right. The clench hose mender doesn’t work very well. If the clench isn’t tight enough it will leak but if they are too tight it will pierce the hose and leak.
