I'm wondering if sanding down the fill will damage my white quartz countertop? Will it leave a dull spot or scuff marks ? Thank you , looking forward finally repairing it !!

The repair kits include two grits of sand paper, 220 and 2000. They are include and necessary only if the damage is overfilled. A perfectly filled damage can be cured and left as is. For soft surfaces, we suggest you only use the 2000 grit as it is much more gentle. Filling to 100% will save time and repair material.

I have a very wide vertical cut in multiple places in my quartz shower surround. My contractor was retrofitting the glass surround and made two wrong cuts. They are massively wide, and very very poorly repaired when epoxy. The result looks like he tried to fill it with white toothpaste and spread it on with his fingers. Could this product help? I am willing to try anything.

will this work on cultured marble hairline crack. Thanks

Hi there! Hairline cracks unfortunately usually don't have enough space/depth for our material to grab onto to make a clean repair. You can check out the diagram on our FAQ page (www.himgsurfacerepair.com/pages/faqs) to see if you think your damage matches up, or feel free to send us an email with a picture of it to salesteam@himgsurfacerepair.com and we'll give you our honest opinion!

I need to repair a white marble countertop that has a few gouges in it (they appear lighter than the countertop.) Will using this kit return them to the right color? Or just fill the divot? Thank you!
@HIMGsurfacerepair11 ай бұрын
Great question! Our product will fill the divot, but you also have the opportunity to mix our colors together to achieve whatever color finish you're looking for! If you email us a picture of your damage, we're happy to give you a recommendation! You can reach us at salesteam@himgsurfacerepair.com

Dropped a heavy glass salt grinder onto my 1" thick quartz edge. I have a large chunk on the edge about 0.5" - 0.75" wide at the top then tapering down to the bottom of the "V". It is maybe 0.125" from where the edge used to be in depth. The piece is big enough to be placed back in the spot but naturally little fragment pieces are missing from around the edge. Should I glue this in place then do a repair or just try to fix it with clear acrylic? It's in a very noticeable location and the size makes me uncomfortable

If I am repairing a matte surface, like travertine, should I skip the polish paste?
@HIMGsurfacerepair Жыл бұрын
Yes! Matte finishes are achieved with using the included sand paper after curing of the acrylic repair material. We would suggest skipping the polish paste in this instance.

Can you use this on a vertical quartz surface? I have a hairline crack in a quartz backsplash.
@HIMGsurfacerepair Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, this product is not suitable for hairline cracks. The must be a void to fill. I would suggest enamel repair spray.
