Думал глаза лопнут. Варили газом по грязи и ржавчине. Зачем меняли огрызки, если рядом стояла нормальная кабина, которую также вандально распотрошили? Нужно было целиком "четверть" (порог, низ проёма, часть стойки) заменить. Да и разрезы подобрали на редкость грамотно, чтобы максимально всё увело. Потом вместе с ошметками, также по грязи загрунтовали сиденья, крылья, радиатор печки, патрубки - просто песня. Эх. Их бы трудолюбие да в правильное русло.

another old merc saved from the scrap yard, we are so wastfull in the west and no way do many people have the skills to do a job like this now............one question why use gas weld rather than mig?? is gas stronger or just how you guys were taught??

gas welder is much cheaper to buy and run over there

Mig is great - I use mig for this work - but gas is better, believe it or not. The weld is softer, easier to flatten, easier to finish - but it's a sod of a process to get proper good at.. The skill involved is, erm, "Much".
