What if the screws and little rods that are welded to the door system? can you upload a video on for to just open the lock system?

How do you get the combination if you can’t get it open to begin with? All these videos show the door off.

I have one of these. However, mine is of the key-lock type. Of course, I picked it up at a thrift store with no key, and for years now, it has simply been a conversation piece. I can see that the lock is a Yale lock, and I'm wondering how I might go about obtaining a replacement key, if possible, or any other suggestions for how to open it without damaging it. Popping out the door hinge pins would not work with this particular model because the pin on the top hinge is longer than the space above the hinge. Other than drilling out the lock and replacing it, any suggestions? Thanks!😊

Hello how do you open with a combination?

Set the first and second dial to there corespondent letter/number and open. You dont have to spin the dial like a traditional combination lock. Just turn to the position you need and open

What if my hinge does not have screw threads?

🤔 It might have a pin(s) holding the hinge on like an interior door. Try taking a small nail and lightly tap it with a hammer. If its anything like a door, you'll need to hammer from the bottom upward. Good luck

The gears on mine have quite a bit of play even though the screws are tight. Any ideas of how to solve?

The only thing that comes to mind, is you may be missing a washer or two. Without the washer around the gear, it will be loose.
