finishing up turn and found the bottom was gone. So I am going to redo it the old school way.

That sharkbite removal tool is very handy. I have a iCrimp version that works very well. Way better than the tiny plastic removal adapters.

We use faux blinds from a local supplier here in Huntsville, they contain nice screws to mount with. Never saw that before! They have 1/4 heads on them, fine thread to get through corner bead and sharp as shit. Also, at lowes, look for the caulk saver thing in the caulk section. Its a 2 pack red and black. It has a spout cover and a plug with a ring on the tip. They work great and keep caulk for months in an open tube. I bought those sharkbite pliers a few months ago. A bit spendy but I figured I would get a use out of them. Since then I have used them about 100 times. Money well spent when you have arthritis!

If you haven't looked in a while all kreg drill bits now are 1/4in hex shank now so there's no reason to even need a drill chuck even... space saving 👍

Wonderboard he's talking about I believe is called frp for most of us it's common in restaurants and bathrooms for wall coverings if your searching for it. It also makes a fantastic topper to any workbench instead of laminate since it can be just glued down no rubber cement or cure times. It's impervious to most glues for thoes woodworkers.

The best way yea I found is to re caulk over it with dap 230 or dynaflex then it's printable. The 230 is soliconized and offer 80% the mold and mildew resistance that 100% silcone has but is paintable. Its only 5 to 7 a tube slightly more expensive but last longer stays cleaner than cheapy alex.

"Paintable" You can paint over thoes products and best yet they don't shink like Alex does.

I never thought about removing that center brace in a cabinet when replacing the flooring of the cabinet makes it so much easier to replace

Most of the ones I come across are particle board with contact paper foux veneer... so the thought of even touching it makes it explodes not uncommon to have to replace them with some nice hemlock or poplar.

is that ALEX DAP caulk easy to remove from tubs? I use the DAP tub and tile adhesive/caulk and is a mutha to remove and requires something to soften iy before removal
