I have a vauxhall zafira with electronic moving xenon headlights with broken tabs. It cost about £700 new... New tab kit cost about £58, a second hand standard headlight cost about £30. Which have the same tabs. So I just cut off the tab and joined them on Job done

Useful video! What do you think is the best remedy if it so happens that the tab was cut off too much?

Hi, thanks for your comment! First of all, try to avoid that situation, measure twice and cut once etc etc. It's actually a reasonably difficult mistake to make because you would also be cutting away the screw holes (for mounting the tab kit to) that are moulded into the headlight assembly and in most cases, this is a much chunkier piece of plastic and so you would assume that people would notice they were doing it! However, I know what you are saying, some people are pretty dedicated to making life difficult for themselves, so if the whole tab and mounting holes were cut away, it is possible that you could mount the new tab to the headlight body using plastic welding (either proper method or diy method), plenty of videos on this subject on KZbin if required.

I’m really sorry, just a diy, KZbin guy working from home, so not really a car repair business. It’s super easy though, you can buy the tab kit from the dealer, search for how to remove the headlight for your car on KZbin and then watch my video to fit the tab kit. Hope that helps! Thanks, Phil
