You can try massaging the display to move the fluid farther to the edges, but this can cause damage. If the problem spot is in the middle, it's a lost cause. I've had some success with an original GameBoy using that method, but it's not perfect.

The multimeter itself costs less than 10 dollars or euro so does not worths any repair.But the screen darkening is made inside the glass from the liquid of the lcd so there is no external repairing attemp on earth that will restore it unless swap a new lcd screen from another or buy a brand new one.There are two different multimeters of the same model and cheating people.

Thank you for comment me "Muara Karya" The black spots are many types in my case the black spots are present in bottom of display which can easily disappear by using little amount of pressure and seal by hot glue & if the black spots Entire screen then it cannot be easily remove. Any type of reflective sheet or plastic is easily visualize the letter. As I use a broken mobile transparent sheet . Thank you for comment me & have a nice day.

My brother "Alejo Pancho Villa "First thing thank you for your coment,,,,,,,, The lcd damage is mainley cause by two things 1-Reflective paper damage which is paste back side of your display if it is damage then the reflective paper fadded . 2-lcd liquid pigment which is paste the middle of two glass if It is leak then the screen completeley damage. Iam use paint thinner which widley use in dilute the thick paints ,,,,It is just a cleaning purpose the stcky glue of back side paper,,,,, I have upload 3 lcd repair video which help you repair purpose,,,, Thank you my brother have a nice day.

My brother " Amrit "first thing thank you for comment me. The techinical name is reflective element you can use for alternator aluminium foil as a substitute which is use to visualize the liquid crystal pigment. One thing remember that the liquid crystal did not heat or not to open the lcd polarizer sandwich . Thank you my brother & have a nice day.

My brother " Anshuman Hirwani " first thing thank you for comment me. The test is basically two types 1-Tesst with fitted carbon strip and fit the whole thing. 2- Another test is which you saw in my video that I have take display on my hand and the letter glows ,,,,, I connect a wire on my 230 v ac table fan grill and it sit on plastic table a small amount of ac current flows on fan grill which you can fill on your upper skin it like ant bite ,, the display bottom site where the carbon strip touches I fingerd that ground and the grill wire touches it glows .....
