This cluster matched my cluster exactly and instructions in the video were really useful. I bought a £15 soldering iron and have never done it before. My car is now fixed, thanks for the upload. Total time for me was hour and half.

Did this yesterday on my wife's 2008 Mondeo. Hitting the top of the dashboard stopped being effective last month. After watching your video, i decided to have a go with nothing to lose. Working perfectly now, including some of the steering wheel controls which haven't worked for 3 years. Thanks for the video. €350 saved.

​@@vamshikrishnaaa very possible to check if it is indeed when it happens give a big slap on the dashboard.. if the light goes away for a bit when you slap the dashboard then it almost 100% possible is the joints just like shown on the video

Lead free solder is the cause of the problem with these clocks. Use 60-40 lead-tin solder with separate rosin flux. 👍👍

Un grand merci ma ford Cmax de 2009 tdci m'affichait un défaut moteur + défaut direction assistée et c'était bien le compteur. J'ai refait les brasures comme dans votre tuto et ça a fonctionné 🎉👍🏼 Big thank you ! my 2009 Ford Cmax tdci was showing me an engine fault + power steering fault and it was indeed the dashboard. I redid the soldering as in your tutorial and it worked 🎉👍🏼 Cheers Cheers

Hi my car doesn't start. at the beginning i have the engine malfunction then transmission malfunction then my dashboard start to restart open and close.after thus i take off the battery and put it back but nothing now the radio its completely off and when i try to start the car my dashboard jast goes black.

You need to resolder the connection
