Love the feel of the original fabric on these cars, feels high quality compared to most modern cars. Just bought a 2004 Mk1 Estate with super low mileage and been watching all your vids as I am in love with it ahah!

I've got three of those door trims off. The cable ties idea will now take things forward rather than glueing them back on. I have a Mk1 so you've been really helpful. Great job.

Thank you mate, melting those cable ties onto the trim has been good - very strong bond.

You should consider sound deadening inside the doors, I did this on mine and it did a world of difference!

Thanks that's a good suggestion!

The whole door panel/handle looks better than new! Did you weigh it down with Vibra-Tecniks rear engine mount?😀

fun fact for everyone who cannot find glue remover or similar, use EGR or Carb cleaner, it removes foam like its nothing.

Carbon fiber (ish) parts are cool. + if the door cards are off, there's a great opportunity to clean the door drain holes, at the bottom of the door. Dust-free will be rust-free.

Must you solder that trim back on? Can't you just use some strong glue and that's it?
@Horus_Works Жыл бұрын
No soldering isn't necessary, strong glue will do, I just wanted it to be extra strong.
