Thank you so much for making this exceptionally clear and thorough video. I think my problem is that my belts are loose. Do you have given me the confidence to take this motor apart and try and fix the problem myself. I am very grateful for you giving me that encouragement.

Thank you, this is a fantastic video, just what I needed. My sander is jumping so I suspect either the lower drive belt need replacing or the mechanism needs lubricating. I’ll have a look tomorrow thanks to your video. Cheers Dave

Thanks 👍 Pillar drill is fine for accasional use, I used to do it with my DIY pillar drill. But longer and frequent use might lead to arbour bearings wear as not designed for side load.

@@pscraftydiy Thanks for the reply, I have the Triton TSTP450 and came across the toolsparesonline website from a link on the Triton Tools website. I have now ordered a new Spindle together with some washers etc. from them. The only thing is, that after placing my order, I started to find some really bad reviews about toolsparesonline, so now I am a bit worried my spares will not arrive, but will have to wait and see. The only other thing is the Picture of the Spindle on the toolsparesonline is slightly different from the actual shaft that I have, which has two flats at the base of the thinner section of the spindle. I suppose I will just have to see what and if it turns up and hopefully it will be the correct one. I have also found that the Sealy website sells spares for these Oscillating Sanders, which as you said in your video are all the same, so if all else fails I will try phoning them and get one ?

Ive ordered from toolsparesonline twice and had no problem whats so ever. All parts as described. Like you say if the part is different return it and phone up Clark spares they are quite good and very fast. Just tell them you have Clark machine. The rotor from them was expensive but other parts were lot cheaper. Interested how you get on as If people can follow my video and fix the machine or if it gives them confidence to do so I'd be very happy. Please keep us updated and good luck.

@@pscraftydiy Well my spares arrived around Lunch Time today so my fears of toolsparesonline being a dubious site were obviously unfounded. Within an hour, I had my Sander rebuilt with the New spindle and it's now back as good as new, which is a good job as I bought this from new and had only used it about three times before accidently dropping it off the bench and bending the spindle. There is a little bit of confusion between some of the different manufactures parts lists which appear to have the different width belts in different locations i.e. the 6mm Belt driving the main sanding operation and the 10mm belt driving the oscillating action but this is incorrect. From my own photographs and your video, its fairly clear that the 6mm Belt goes around the small plastic "bobbin" and drives the oscillating motion and the 10mm Belt drives the main shaft for the sanding belt. It's hard to believe the retail price difference of these identical sanders, Sealy's retail price on their website is currently £419:94, while the Triton is currently available from Screwfix for £209:99 ??????. I felt fairly comfortable taking the Sander apart, but your video confirmed that the sander didn't have lots of little parts that would spring out all over the place if I took it apart, so thanks for doing the video 🙂
