Thanks for your reply. I have 6 remotes, all of them are the same model. All were not used and were kept in the drawer of my wardrobe away from the sunshine. No batteries were inserted. After 9 months, the lcd screens of four of the remotes had the black circle. The remaining two are ok. These remotes are about six years old. I have repaired one. Now it is good as new.
