Agreed; heading into restringing my RV blind (four string) this looks to be the best video for four string RV blinds on the internet! I hope I am smart enough to follow correctly. Prior to actually doing this, my concerns are making sure I have the strings long enough, keeping the spring centered in the top rail, and keeping the strings where they need to be when sliding the rails back in place.

D Thomp yes I’d say those would be the main concerns, but if you keep them in mind I think you’ll do do just fine. Good luck

Great video, direct to the point without a lot of goofy music, introductions, and non-revelant information, etc. to listen to!

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. There are very few videos about repairs to 4 string shades, and the diagram of the string pattern is very helpful.

Our middle will not slide apart for anything! It seems like the two round riveted handles/pulls are causing it to not slide. Any recommendations?

Hola and thanks for the helpful video! I have a four string blind I´m going to fix but it doesn't have the little plastic pieces at the bottom.. what do I do with the extra string_?
@LukeOnTheRoad4 жыл бұрын
If your blinds work like mine you just need to have something to tie them off to tightly where they exit the blinds. The tighter and more taught the strings are tied will increase the strength of the blinds being able to hold the shades up. You may just need to screw a screw in the wall and secure them to that. There may be better methods (and better looking) but that should work.

My shade has four strings and four springs. Do I need all the springs?

This was very difficult and frustrating to do. It took about 2.5 hours so far and it still isn't working well. I think we should've used two springs instead of 1.

If it’s still loose try tightening the end strings. I’m not a pro though. I just showed what worked for me. Good luck

@@LukeOnTheRoad Thank you for your video. Your video helped so much compared to the paper instructions. The strings at the end are tight. We are going to come back to it another time. Thanks very much for your reply.
