The pink one is just to control the loose webbing. Take note that this is just for emergency cases. You better buy a new one as soon as possible, it's not expensive though.

You said that this is for "emergency cases" but doing this "fix" is the same thing as not having a seatbelt at all...so why even bother with this "fix"? Just don't wear the seatbelt. Also, your description says that this is a "repair". This is not repairing anything. A repair would be fixing the problem yet you haven't fixed anything here. The actual catch mechanism's teeth are made of metal and it is hidden on the inside faces of the metal brackets and is part of the metal spindle on which the seatbelt resides on. 😊

Hindi na Po binalik kasi sira yon, basag yon. Sana kung may mabibili na ganyang piesa ay mas mabuti, kaso wala. So sayang din naman kung bibili ng bagong seat belt kung pwede pa naman pagtyagaan in the meantime. Of course kung may budget I recommend buying a new seat belt kasi our safety is at stake. However, sinigurado ko talaga na gumagana ang seat belt if ever there's a sudden application of brake. The technique can be used kung may emergency na lakad at least may seatbelt na magagamit. Yong piesa na yon controls loose webbing.

Bolt was loosened beforehand. Focus is on the temporary repair of the seat belt for emergency cases.
