I must tell you, I’ve become rather obsessed with your videos lately , a little while ago I lost a deer friend , he was like an older brother to me , you remind a lot of him , kind natured and very assured. Around this time of the year we’d be out on our mountain bikes or going for walks up the woods , he did start teaching me how to hunt , we would often talk about how we was going to do a camping trip almost like a tour of the southwest , he slowly began to build supplies like torches , bbq, kitchen ware , he also began to start taking an interest of filtering water , he really wanted to live off the earth , no phones , just him a Mother Nature. He was a dab hand a making things and start to covert his works van into a camper , by the end it looked unreal , so professional. He gave me his jetboil as a gift as he knew I was struggling to get anything for our planned trip . When he was sadly taken I couldn’t stand anything to do with camping . Only until a few days ago I randomly found your video , I’m sure you may not even see this comment but I want you to know you’ve kind of helped me , you’ve bought a piece of my friend back to me . I’m thinking of doing a solo camp . Getting lots of ideas from you , sadly I think I’ll be using a Halfords tent 😂. But I just wanted to say thankyou for being you . Honest and beautiful videos ! Keep it up and sorry to be waffling .

I lost a best mate and a parent within a couple of weeks of each other and it's very hard. I had tried to get my mate to stop working and go away with me but sadly it never happened. He got sick over time unfortunately and then it was too late. I bought some of his gear off his wife and it goes with me on trips now as well as using some of it at home. I also take my Mums cast iron frypan on trips and have a couple of other things from her that I use. I'm sure your mate would have wanted you to go out and do what he was doing and it will eventually help you as well imo. I'm likely much older than you but it helped me and made me realize just how quickly things can change in life. All the best to you and take care.

Andy, our ambassador of Mexican cuisine in the UK, you are really crazy about cooking, it is obvious that you love to cook, here in Mexico there is not a Mexican who goes camping with plans to cook tamales or tongue tacos, most of them when we take them are frozen to reheat, they are very good both for dinner and for breakfast accompanied by a good "coffee from pot" café de olla that is prepared in a clay pot with a little cinnamon and piloncillo to sweeten it. Thank you for showing our cuisine in such an extraordinary way, greetings and a big hug for you and everyone on the channel from Guadalajara, Jalisco. Mexico.

I know that there is a lot of work that goes into all of your camera shots. I was wondering if you could make a video showing us the behind the scenes stuff ie. setting up the cameras, the angles, for arriving and leaving; and other shots during a typical video. I would bet your followers would love to see how much work you do behind the scenes. Also , I loved the blooper reel with Simon. Keep up the magical work Andy. Rob (Vancouver, BC 🇨🇦)

Andy… I’m a long time fan of yours. This channel makes my bad days better. I’m from Southern California. About 3 hours from Mexico. Hearing you pronounce Spanish words makes me smile. I’m a little jaded when it comes to Mexican food cause I get it quite literally “authentic “. lol. So I’m glad you get to enjoy it across the pond. I had some when I lived in Canada and let’s just say…it was less then great. lol. You keep making um and we’ll keep watching um!!

The first brisket I ever had I was in my Mid-Sties when I say mid-60s I'm talking 60-year-old. My brother made a brisket and he slow roasted it in his backyard. This was most delicious meat I'd ever tasted. I'm not a big meat eater but I could have ate a quarter pound of this. And the meat you're cooking on your cooker looks absolutely delicious. I don't know if you're married or not, but if you're not, I don't know why any woman would not want to be married to you. You cook! You travel? You're an outdoorsy person?. My kind of guy. I would have put my chair at the end of that jetty, brought the beers along and probably stayed there the whole evening (save popping up to the truck to get food and more beer). Lovely spot, thank you for this. PS. Tamales looked WAY too fiddly to me. I'd have done hot dogs (with Cumberland sausages and a hot BBQ sauce) and I'd have been happy with that (maybe a green salad on the side).

I’ve been saving up for this since January of 2017 & finally have all the money I need for everything , I just priced out everything & it’s going to be a labor of love doing so & should only take 6 to 9 months to complete then I,m hitting the road all over the United States for a little over a year & 3 months , it’s going to be epic .

Oh, love, my mother would protest! She would head up our tamale making tradition and it was truly a special occasion. Not to be taken lightly. Good on you for taking it on.

It's actually quite a weird feeling to watch such a vid, knowing I do the same kind of thing, and dreamed of such things back when I lived in the UK, over 20 years ago. Now I do this kind of thing with my Hilux, exploring the island of Borneo... Never give up on your dreams guys, never.

Awesome video per usual. Three cheers 🍻 to the Bob Ross of bush craft. The tamales 🫔 look delicious. Tried to prepare them for a university class of ESL- EAL students. My partner teacher who worked in professional kitchens ( in California) during his school years brought along some back up burrito 🌯 bread and soft tacos 🌮 shells. He explained that sometimes tamales 🫔 don’t cooperate and that plan “B” is an option 🍺🫔🫵🤘🇨🇦🫡🇬🇧🤘🫵🫔🍺

I remember the last time you made bacon pancakes 🥞 and I actually tried it out a couple days later, which is rare for me as I always want to try recipes I see but rarely attempt them , This one is amazing 🤩 It was so delicious and now I want to make a giant one like this!
