Hi, yes if it helps you can mark the position before removing the needles, just make sure not to damage the gauge face.

Hello, could you tell me the pins I need to connect on a bench power supply to light up the gauge dials please, I've connected pins 32 and pin 2 and I can only get the dials to move screen to come on. Is there an easy way of finding what pins do what preferabley without the vehicle thank you for you time

I have a similar problem with lcd screen but if I disconnect battery and reconnect the screen is back to normal

Hi! Usually if the display looks bad, the problem comes from the display, but maybe you have another fault on Ford instrument cluster

That's not the problem, changing display will not solve the problem. It will reappear.... there are some resistors with bad soldering joints. Of course, you will need a very good microscope to see where the problem is...

Hi, most of the times the issue is related to the LCD screen and not to the resistors, and when the issue is actually related to the resistors, the display needs to be replaced anyway, as it wouldn’t work even after fixing the soldering joints. If after replacing the display with our SEPDISP32 the issue persists, our technical assistance would guide the customer to identify and fix the bad soldering joints.

@@MinitoolsChannel well, I've repaired at least 50 pcs of this clusters and only one requested display change because it was smashed. So, try to debug the motherboard and you will find out that all displays are good and its all about bad soldering joints. Cheers.
