I wasn't able to determine if you mentioned what vehicle you were working on but that trim looks a lot like our 2012 Camry's trim. From the driver's controls, the passenger front glass will go down if you press the button lightly but if you push firmly until the button is all the way down, the glass stops moving, regardless of where it is. I envisioned dirty or worn contacts in the switch but I hadn't even considered the notion that it could be solid state. 😕 I'm sure hoping a good cleaning will be the solution to my issue... 🤞 🇺🇸

@@PeterFinnTheCarDoctor Turns out that cleaning it didn't help... so I improvised. Because it was such an unusual issue, I decided to see if I could literally limit the range of the down button & I succeeded. I don't remember if I took any photos but I glued a piece of wood under the "down" side so that we can push down without having to finagle it. Based on this thread, it's already been 2 years & it's still working well. 👍🏻 🇺🇸

I just replace those garbage plastic switches with momentary high quality metal toggle switches. Used in aircraft for decades and super reliable.

if switch will roll down window but won't roll up window on passenger door like that happened to my car I checked and cleaned the fuse and I cleaned the switch terminals and inside the plug contacts and now my window rolls up and down my fuse and the contacts in the switch and in the plug was needing cleaning I used a needle to clean all contacts and all terminals scraped clean and that's how I fixed my window to fully work

Very intelligent.. Sir, my Hyundai i20 left rear window has no power when operating from driver side windows master panel. The other 3 windows has got power, but no power for this window. However, they are on at the same board. Why no power supply to this window?

Yes but you didn’t show the final result. Did it work? Did not work? Why don’t you show with the switch? That is not fixing, that’s just cleaning the electrical connections. Did it work? We will never know 😂
