How to repair wood shake roof

tools you need
- 15 in. Bar pry
- 24 in. Shingle Ripper
- gloves
- hammer
- optional Coil Siding Nailer, 1-1-1/4-Inch to 2-1/2-Inch (I used BOSTITCH N66C)
- 2-1/4 or 2-1/2 round shank, 0.092-inch stainless steel or Hot-Dipped Galvanized

Supposed to be more like 1/2" down when nailing and nail at a 45 degree angle so it sits flush once complete

My shakes keep breaking when I'm trying to remove them. Should I he using something like a dasco roofing bar to rip out the nails?

I would recommend getting at least 24 inches long shingle ripper to rip out the nails.
