The 4 cables
@amv.techpro3 ай бұрын
@@jozek449I can only assume you're talking about the tape above the 4 antenna connectors. In that case, put some sort of insulation tape on top. The metal heatsink is touching the cables so it's better to insulate them.
@jozek4493 ай бұрын
@@amv.techpro When I took my avata apart, I accidentally cut the 4 cables. Each cable is in the propeller guard. The 4 cables are connected to the FC. Do these cables have any function at all?
@amv.techpro3 ай бұрын
@@jozek449 Oh. That definitely isn't what I thought it was. I'm pretty sure you're talking about the 4 cables with the circular golden connectors - those are the antennas for the signal transmission/reception . I would say they're quite important. Technically speaking, you can solder them back together. It's a bit of a hassle, but it can be done. Every DJI drone has antennas in the propeller arms. I'm this case, they're inside the propeller guards. As I said, you can solder them back together.

In the 8 screw i cant open number 5 and number 6 could you please tell me how did you open it?
@amv.techpro3 ай бұрын
I believe your're talking about the second row of screws, back to front? DJI adds a small blob of glue on top of the screw heads. You can pop it off with something sharp. They use slightly harder glue on the Avata.The blobs are visible in the video 0:40 I believe that's some "warranty void" type of seal. Try to remove them. They should just pop off.

I crash my Avata2 and the camera move a little by the suspenders and the camara is moved like 10°, do you have any video to reload the camera on the suspenders?
@amv.techpro3 ай бұрын
Unless the rubber suspenders are torn/missing, it should be a matter of popping them back into place. Unfortunately I don't have a video for this procedure, because the camera was the only non-damaged part on my drone and I didn't bother to take it apart. You can follow this video and remove the entire camera assembly and then check the rubber suspenders. That's the only advice I can give you.

@@my.fpv.flights I've never disassembled the actual motors, but to be honest, I don't think they can be disassembled any further. If you're worried about sand in the motors, you should replace them. If something gets into the bearing it might seize mid-flight. I personally wouldn't risk something like that over a 20 euro motor.

@@amv.techpro Usually fpv motors can be easy disassembled. I'd not buy new ones in that case but clean ones. Avata 2 has other motors that cannot be disassembled easily. I do not think it is possible to buy avata 2 motorsfor 20 euro and installation wont be easy (

@amv.techpro How hard would you say the process will be if I am only looking to replace the prop guards since mine is bent from a crash
@amv.techpro2 ай бұрын
@crayola7494 Unfortunately the drone is built in such a stupid way, that if you want to change the prop guards, you basically need to replace the entire body. I'm actually preparing a video to do exactly that, but it'll be ready in a few weeks and I'll basically transfer all internal parts onto a completely new body. If only the underside of the prop guards is damaged, you might be able to get away with replacing only the lower part, but if the top part is damaged - you need to change the entire body.
@crayola74942 ай бұрын
@ I see, that’s unfortunate.. yeah the top part is slightly damaged too but I’ve managed to bent them back into place using a screwdriver though not fully into place.. Thinking of replacing the prop guards anyway since if I do crash again, it might just break the whole thing again. Will wait for your video then to see if I’ll attempt on replacing the shell myself, else I’ll just contact DJI for help.

Thank you! Definitely not impossible, but splicing would lead to increased cable thickness and the tolerance are already very tight. The cable lengths are also quite specific. If anything, it would make it more challenging.

im curios why didn’t you put it on a carbon frame? this design is the worst that dji i ever made. its my biggest disappointment so far. I always thought that if I crashed it, I would try to mod it on a carbon frame, 3D print a body for the main board, battery, and sensor, and adding a real antenna on the back. But I still haven’t crashed it yet.
@amv.techpro13 күн бұрын
Well, first off - I prefer to use OEM parts. I don't know what the quality might be of random aftermarket parts. Second - at the time of the repair there were almost no aftermarket parts available for this model. The option of moving the electronics to a different chassis sounds a bit extreme. I wouldn't trust it much then. There are plenty of FPV kits for this purpose.
