Really good video. To the point, well edited and informative. Many thanks!

This is how I used to do it. Now I pull a vacuum and purge the line before charging. Is it a good practice to vacuum/purge prior to charging or is it a waste of time/effort, in your opinion?

How’d it go? I’m buying a firestor with no Ac tmw
@fredastaire61562 жыл бұрын
@@chocolategravyandbiscuits8418 pretty good. The swap was straight forward. And for the recharge of the system I used a vaccum pump and manifold gauges from Harbor freight. Total cost with the new a/c compressor was about 250 bucks. Now I’ve got near 40F cold air blowing a/c. The mechanic at my local shop easily would have charged over $700 for everything. Total time, about 3 hours. And that was me taking my time and not rushing things. It’s totally doable and you’ll save yourself a ton of money! Good luck!

Great and to the point but please fit a new filter some dye and a good vacuum of the system before re-gassing. All that expanse and time a little more input for a better job.

My '12 Forester with the FB25 engine doesn't appear to have an air intake that needs to be removed, as was shown in this video. Is this normal?

Its not a stretch fit belt. I thought it was on mine as well and I had to send the Belt Kit back. My Impreza was a stretch fit though.

Anyone know how to remove the 2010 Subaru Forester AC compressor? The 4 bolts holding it in are horizontally accessed and a pain in the ### to reach. Any tips
@thebruhhh4 жыл бұрын
I finally got everything swapped out 2-3 weeks ago. One tip: You have to remove the oil inside of the ac compressor when it arrived. It's like a storage oil and needs to be completely drained out (the low and high ports upside down and let it empty). Then that's when you add the PAG oil to whatever specification it says. My ac compressor had a bad translation on it, but it just called for 5 ounces which I added. Good luck. This is the best all encompassing video I could find so great job.
