Glad you're back bro. Thought your shop shut you down. A Hyundai tech was told to stop making vids unfortunately.

Thanks for checking, I took holiday vacation, too bad for Hyundai tech.

Thank you for making this video. Can you possibly advise how to pop those plastic pins back into their mounts when you are at the final stage and replacing the cover? As you know, they have what I (a layman!) would call splayed legs and need to be kind-of crimped together to get them to reinsert. In the video you do this at 3mins 49sec and you make it look really easy.... I hope this question makes sense.

You’re welcome. Make sure the plastic pin round head is fully up, crimped those legs together with your fingers, line it up into their mounts and push the pin in. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

@@WrenchingRyan Just got back from a six week trip abroad and, thanks to your advice, everything went well with reconnecting the battery. Our beloved Sportage started first time!

Should we turn on or turn off the car
@WrenchingRyan Жыл бұрын
Always turn ignition off every time battery removal/replacement, failure to do so can cause electric issues. Thanks for watching.

This may sound silly, but where can I purchase the adapter and extender, does it come in a set? Thank you
@WrenchingRyan Жыл бұрын
I got mine from snap on tools, Harbor Freight also sells them.

The local parts store followed that same procedure but plugged a tool into the port inside the car. I have several dash lights on now saying to check multiple systems. I was told they would go away but after 2 days of driving, they are still on. How do I clear these?
@WrenchingRyan2 жыл бұрын
If they followed this procedure then you should be okay, the tool they plugged in on your OBD port is probably the audio present and time saver, my experience is telling me that you might have blown fuse somewhere. Go grab your self a test light with engine off ignition on and check all your fuse. Good luck 👍

Thanks for the video. I was told on some cars that replacing the battery messes up with a CPU and beforehand you need some kind of pre-set with a car computer is needed. Is it the case with kia sportage. Thanks again
