I just updated my 3rd brake light. The plug that is included with the light doesn’t seem to keep a strong connection with the sockets for causes it to go in and out. Is that a common issue? Do you have any suggestions? I purchased it off of eBay. Also, should the white light be coming on while I am in reverse? The red break light and connection work fine. The plugs on mine are the flat plastic ones with the thin wire on both sides. Thank you buddy! You’ve really inspired me to fix up my 2004 f150. I recently had to put in a new engine, so now I am more motivated to get things looking good since I put a lot into that.

Hey Bro, I like all these mods your doing to your truck! I, myself have 2008 f-150 and have replaced the tail lights & 3rd brakelight with chrome housing/smoked lense & all LED’s. Headlights will be coming soon!! Keep it up

I took the screws off my light and it won't budge, I tried pulling it and maybe trying to unclip something but nothing, it won't move at all, any ideas on what to do??

Sounds like someone superglued the gasket underneath the light or something. Try using a flathead screwdriver to pry up around the edges maybe? Or you could use a plastic trim removal tool if you're nervous about using a screwdriver

When you opened it there was a wire in the middle light what did you do at that wire because when you went to attach it could to the old hook up that wire was suddenly gone. I just bought the same like I need to know what to do with that extra wire in the middle light on it.

Hey KT, I eventually discovered the same problem that you have. I was under the impression that this was a true plug and play part and wouldn't require any splicing. I will make a video for you showing how to splice the wires together. Sorry I have not gotten around to it yet!

Sounds like you need to replace the gasket or buy a whole new light with a new gasket. This one has great reviews on Amazon and is only $30 amzn.to/3OenDEt

@@AndrewDoesLife yes but I had the LED Version for like 35$. The led inlets melted in the sun. Just realized it's not the one you have. I'm gonna get me yours and use bulbs again. Cheap LEDs suck.

@@AndrewDoesLife let me know how it turns out, I'm going to install this led strip underneath the truck by wear the nerf bars are installed and wire them so that they turn on and Illuminate when I unlock the alarm and when I open the door as I get out.
