How To Replace A Capacitor On A Swamp Cooler Motor

Do all these fan motors have a capacitor? I don't remember seeing one on mine it's a mastercool has a belt drives the fan I think it's 3/4 horsepower.

How tell what size capitor you when if there nothing on it

If you know what manufactured is look up the specs of the capacitor that way. If they're no longer in business you might be able to find it by the size of your motor specs. Your best bet might be to get in contact with somebody who rebuilds motors.
