You can route them out. Route down to just above the pin, then use a soldering iron to melt the plastic around the pin and pull it out with needle nose pliers.

Nice repair job!! Curious why you didn't just use 2 part expandable foam to quickly fill the fin box mounting hole vice glueing in the small pieces of foam?

Thanks! I didn't have any and I'd rather use EPS foam to match what was there. I don't think that pour foam has a long shelf life so for how much I would use it, it wouldn't be worth it to keep it on hand.

Polyurethane foam (expanding foam) has a low density compared to EPS so would weaken the box

Is fcs fusion jig same as fcs2 jig? Also do you use a bearing for your router bit so it doesn’t damage jig plate?

Could you have also used balloons to help fill the void also

The reason it was so hard to put in, is because the lip on the top of the box is meant to be sanded. This box has been installed too deeply. There’s a lot wrong with this install I would ask for a refund if anyone did this to my board to repair it.
